We May Have a Place

It was a busy off day for me.

On Tuesday night I had to go to the Boothwyn Wal-Mart to work. Of course I found this out after I drove 10 miles to work. The Boothwyn store is only 3 miles from me. I wanted a paper to read during break so I stopped at a WAWA to get one in Kennett Square, PA. I originally picked up a US TODAY but saw that there was a Daily Times still left. I got that instead and during a break I scanned apartment listing and there where 5 ads for apartments in Broomall.

When I got off in the morning and finished saying good morning to all my old workmates, I use to work at the Boothwyn store everyday, I went home. I had to plan to do some things, clean, laundry, go to Delaware County Court house, call places about apartments, go to bank to pay my current rent.

I made the call to apartments where Lauren and her mother live and made arrangements to meet agent around 4PM. I called another number for the place we hope we get. I had to leave a message with call back info.

I needed a copy of my divorce decree so we could get a marriage license. There are online sites that can get it for me for up to $50.00. I found out when I called Delaware County Courthouse Office of Judicial Support that I could get the info I needed from them in a week for the grand total of $4.95.

I left here around 4Pm to see a rental agent and visit with Lauren and Denis. As I left Apartment rental office I got a call about the other place in Broomall and made arrangements to meet there with him. I saw Lauren told her of events of day and we went shopping for baby food for Denis at daycare. We drove by place liked what we saw and called owner about a inside visit. Lauren and me went to get Chinese food for diner and then met with owner.

I still being reworked but it was clean of debris and is a 2 bedroom, I bath, kitchen with Microwave and a refrigerator. It is not a eat in kitchen but it will do. There is also a laundry in basement too.

We left with knowing we need 3 months rent to move in so that means we need $2,700 fast. I left a check with Lauren to give to owner to pay a $100.00 deposit to remove from market until I get money from savings. There is a tentative position date of Oct 15th.

Edited on 6 Oct 2007 Landlord picked up the deposit check last night Lauren's e-mail said

So as our plans are now it are ....
  • get a place

  • get marriage license

  • get married

  • have Lauren and Denis move in with me

  • live happily ever after together

We did find out he banks where Lauren works too.
