Wife Training

I got this from my future wife. LOL Joke is on her, I come already trained

Gotta love those gals from Pennsylvania!

Wife Training

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties.

The first man had married a woman from Missouri and told her she was going to do dishes
and house cleaning. It took a couple days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and dishes washed and put away.

The second man had married a woman from Illinois. He gave his wife orders that she was to do
all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day
he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table.

The third man had married a girl from Pennsylvania. He told her her duties were to keep the
house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal.
He said the first day he didn't see anything,
the second day he didn't see anything,
but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, enough to fix himself a bite to eat and load the dishwasher and thought the grass didn't need mowing.

New E-A-G-L-E-S Fan

Click on photos for larger size
Well Denis is better luck to the PHILADELPHIA EAGLES then to the NOTRE DAME FIGHTIN' IRISH.
The EAGLES WON 56 to 21 over the Detroit Lions in Phila. While the Eagles were wearing yellow jerseys with light blue shoulders and pants, and the field was trimmed in Yellow and Blue, Denis showed his Irish by wearing GREEN. Denis is all outfitted for the Eagles from now to about a 3T in size. Denis got to sit back and watch the Eagles win big and has of yet to see ND come close to winning. The Eagles outscored ND in one game as ND scored all year in 4 games.

Here is a picture of Brian Westbrook in the retro jersey. You just have to love the blue socks. I thought they looked good from the pants waist down.

Now after the game, Denis showed he was a great Eagles fan by having that slobber thing a lot of them get from to much liquid refreshments during
"The Game". Let us not forget the talking for 5 minutes and not understanding a word they said.

I am sure he had a fun day, as he was watched by his cousin as his Mom was working, and his Grammy was out thrift shopping and I was trying to get a nap before I went over to have a wonderful dinner with Lauren, Denis, Lauren's 2 cousins, her Mom and of course myself. Spaghetti with home made gravy, tomato sause for you people not from the south Philly area. Pretty soon he may be enjoying soft pretzels as he starting to get some teeth in. I next thing I want to do with Denis is sit and have some Animal Crackers & milk with him

Well, I gave the Lady I LOVE a Ring

Tonight I gave Lauren her Engagement Ring. We met after she was done work and her mother was going to watch our son while we went to eat and I give her the ring.
Ring Moments on her finger after i put it on

Oh, the problems of getting it. 3 times I ordered it on line with overnight shipping and 3 times Wal-Mart said ordered canceled. After 3rd time I found out Credit Card Bank was denying the charge as it was flagged as possible fraud. I was sending it to another address and it was a business address. So, when the money was available on card that I sent in to buy ring, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a couple of gift cards. I bought the ring on-line and waited to see it was going to be sent.

Ring picture from Wal-Mart website so you can see what it sort of looks like without sparkle.

On Wednesday night I was invited over to meet her Aunts and Uncles'. I gave a the story about ring and trouble getting it and I was to the point of just saying when I get the ring, "Here your ring, Glad that ordeal over with" and how I not looking at this as an omen. When I got home I check Wal-Mart site for progress on order as when I went to dinner it was "PROCESSING". I received an e-mail at about 12:45 AM Thursday saying it was going to be shipped next day. They gave me the UPS tracking number and when I went to UPS web site to set up e-mail notifications, I found out that the ring was picked up by UPS at 6 PM in Arkansas, was in Tulsa, OK at 7:30 PM and at the time of Wal-Mart e-mail was in Louisville, KY on way to Phila, PA for a Thursday delivery.

I sent 2 e-mails to Lauren's mother at work and yahoo. One to work telling her ring was do for delivery that day and yahoo telling her if she didn't go to work e-mail or call me. At 10:45 the ring was delivered.

I also sent Lauren an e-mail saying how sorry I was that WE were having such a problem getting the ring and maybe another one might be of her choosing or maybe going to a store and ordering it there. This ring was available only on-line. I also sent her the link to web page showing the ring was out of stock. Well, her reaction to that after mother said she should just pick out another one was "He better get that one or I going to kill him" I found this out later, that is why I didn't run away.

We, or me was planning on a Chinese food dinner and a movie. This would of been like our first date. But she was tired some and she wanted to go to a place near her called "Habachi of Springfield" This place is like 2 or 3 minutes from her place and she enjoys it a lot.

WE ARE ENGAGED COUPLE!!

Click on photos for larger size

A Family Portrait in August

I proposed properly to Lauren at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. There was going to be a Fireworks show that night as a benefit for the Longwood Fire Company, a Chester County PA volunteer fire company.

The Italian Water Gardens

Inside Longwood Gardens I knew ahead of time, since I have been there many times, that I wanted to propose at the Italian Gardens. There is a large lake there also and this makes the place very cool on a hot day like it was this day. I was hoping to have the engagement ring by now but there was problems in getting it shipped out in time for today. Lauren's mother, who has been wonderful threw all this, bought a cheap one at a clothing shop for me to put on her finger at the right time.

Lauren had to work this Saturday as she has to most of them, and I got off from work because in work the knew why I needed off. Her mother knew about my plans also as did 2 of Lauren's friends that I contacted via
MySpace.

Her mother was going to watch our son. Her mother did lay out some clothes for Lauren to wear that day. When Lauren got home from work she put them on and wondered if something special was going to happen that day. We also made sure she had her cellphone so she could call people.

I drove us to Longwood Gardens and parked at the far end of parking lot near exit road. This was for afterwards as Longwood is not use to handling the mass exit of people and there was times when I worked to 10 PM and I still saw backed up traffic at almost mid-night. I gave her the tickets to hold as I was sure she or her mother would want to scrap book them later.

Lauren, will you marry me?
Since I knew it would be cool here and a nice lovely place there would be people around to get a picture of me doing the proposing. At first it was very crowded so we walked along the Large Lake to the other end and it was not as crowded but it was hot.

I noticed that a guy volunteered and asked some other people if they wanted him to take their picture. So Lauren knew I asked him to take ours because I said we should get a picture of us together here and she agreed. What she didn't know was that I told him what was going to happen and be ready for it.

It was short and sweet along the lines of "Lauren I LOVE you, Will you marry me?" She said "YES" very quickly. The picture here is me asking her. We had a kiss afterwards to seal the deal. I gave her the ring her mother picked up for me to give to her until the REAL one shows up.

I expected her to call her girlfriends but she didn't have their numbers in her new Phone. We went and sat in the shade and told her her 2 bffs knew the plans and her response? "I'm going to kill them" After that we walked around a bit enjoying the gardens and waiting for the fireworks to begin at 8:45PM. I would want a kiss and a hug every so often, and she would give me one. She did call her mother thou.

She found out I wasn't lying about the fireworks as they did say it benefited the local fire company. Near the end we decided to head for car as we were hungry. We got out of there very quickly and headed for pizza.

Lauren said YES!!
At Pat's Pizzaria in Glen Mills for a bite to eat on way home afterwards. Waiting for the Cheese Fries and Cheese Steak.

Does she not look so beautiful with the temporary replacement ring on? I am sure she will look so much better with the real ring if it every gets here.

After that we headed for home and the end of the night. So it looks like I am getting married again.
